The METSO 4000-8 Mobile Shredder on Crawlers is ideally suited as a shredder in landfills. The design of the machine allows a one pass shred to minus 12″ in one pass. It can shred MSW at rates of up to 100 tons/hour. Industrial Waste, Bulky Waste, Mattresses, Tires, White Goods as well as Heavy Contaminates are not a challenge for the machine. With these types of material we typically see rates from 40-80 tons per hour.

The benefit of shredding the waste in the landfill is an up to 30% increased compaction rate which helps to extend the life of the landfill.
